BTW We beat Fulham 6-1 on the previous Saturday and Leeds 7-0 on the Wednesday before. I think it was the best week WHU ever.

1966, we won 4-3 at their place. Moore, Hurst, Peters etc for WHU, Greaves, Venables & co for them. Madness on the shelf. No segregation in those days, WHU hard cases carried steel tipped walking sticks.

Also away LC quarter final I think. Lost 5 nil ansd we didn't get in till HT as it was full but we jibbed in for a fiver at HT.
Also Bale's 90th minute wonder goal, probably the best I've seen live.

I've despised them ever since Alfie Conn was brushed by a stray strand of Bonzo's hair in the penalty area at WHL and he went down like a dying swan. They beat us 2-1 after we had been ahead (sounds familiar!)

I was in the spurs end with my mate, fellow hammer, and a few spurs mates. all good laugh before hand but they took umbirdge when we jumped up and celebrated that goal. sat on our hands for the rest of the game.
Also the game we lost in 91 when lineker scored a hatrick. Was in the shelf and when we went 3 down a skin head west ham fan said right who wants it and started steam rollering any yid in his way. About 50 of us penned in and surrounded by yids. Not a great night all round that one!
